Bourbon Oak

Bourbon Oak is one of 9 finishes in the Escada collection at Rest Cabinetry, and one of four white oak finishes built on the same door: a five-piece frame, French-mitred at the corners, around a wood-veneered centre panel. The finish is a warm mid-brown stain, deeper than Canyon Oak, with the oak grain still plainly visible. The four are compared side by side in white oak kitchen cabinets.

Sizes stocked in Bourbon Oak

We hold 327 individual cabinet sizes in this finish: 120 wall cabinet sizes, 89 base cabinet sizes, 56 trim and panel sizes, 21 tall cabinet sizes, 21 vanity sizes and 20 accessory sizes. The wall run is the deepest part of it, which is usually what decides whether a kitchen can be laid out without filler-heavy compromises.

How Bourbon Oak is built

This is a framed cabinet: a 1-1/2" by 3/4" face frame on a 1/2" plywood box, with doors and drawer fronts at full overlay. The door is five-piece white oak, French-mitred, around a wood-veneered HDF centre panel. The inside of the box is natural birch under a UV coat. Doors hang on concealed six-way adjustable soft-close hinges, drawers run on undermount full-extension soft-close glides, and the finish is a PPG stain.

Bourbon Oak ships ready to assemble, put together on site with glue and staples or with metal clips. Keep the cartons sealed until you build, because unopened RTA cabinets in original condition are the ones we can take back.
