Guides for this collection: A five-piece door with a moulded edge asks different questions of a room than a flat panel does. Read painted, stained or wood, frameless against framed and choosing between our whites. If the layout is not settled yet, start with the standard size grid and how to measure your kitchen.

The Classic collection is where Rest Cabinetry keeps its traditional door profiles - raised center panels, mitered frames and hand-glazed detail. Where a Shaker door is deliberately plain, a Classic door carries depth and shadow: the panel is raised rather than recessed, the frame corners are mitered rather than butted, and the bevels are pillowed rather than cut flat. In an older Atlanta house that already has trim and moulding on the walls, that detail is what makes new cabinets look like they belong.
The painted Classic doors are a five-piece painted HDF build on a mitered frame, with pillowed bevels, a raised center panel and hand-glazed details. The stained versions use a five-piece stained solid birch door with the same mitered frame and glazing. Both sit on framed cabinets with full-overlay doors and drawers and concealed European-style soft-close hinges. Other finishes in the collection are built with solid wood faces, MDF center panels and dovetail drawers, or with full-overlay doors, soft-close hinges and drawer glides on plywood construction. Every box is plywood - no particleboard.
Classic runs to eleven finishes: Bristol Linen, the Franklin whites and grays, Princeton in off-white and creamy white glazed, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Classic White, Classic Chocolate, and the Casselberry pair in antique white and saddle. Behind them sit more than 3,400 cabinet sizes - over 1,100 wall sizes, more than 600 base sizes, plus vanity cabinets, tall cabinets, mouldings and a deep accessories range. That accessory depth matters more in a traditional kitchen than a modern one, because corbels, valances and decorative end panels are what carry the style through a room.
Classic is the right call for period homes, for kitchens with detailed trim already in place, and for anyone who wants a glazed or antiqued finish rather than a flat color. It is also the collection to look at if your kitchen has long uninterrupted runs - a raised panel breaks up a wall of doors in a way that a slab or Shaker front does not.
Ready-to-assemble does not mean simplified. The raised panels, the hand-glazed edges and the moulded profiles that define Classic are cut and finished before the cabinet is packed; what is left for site is squaring and fixing the plywood box they hang on. That is also what makes RTA suit a renovation rather than fight it: the kitchen can be assembled run by run, at the rate the job actually needs it, instead of filling a house at once.
