Guides for this collection: A traditional door in a room with existing trim has to answer to that trim. Read choosing between our whites, painted, stained or wood and what is inside the cabinet box. If the layout is not settled yet, start with the standard size grid and how to measure your kitchen.

Oxford is the most architectural of our framed collections. The door is a five-piece build on a mortise-and-tenon frame with a flat recessed center panel, and its signature is the long angled inside bevel - a wide, shallow chamfer running around the inside of the frame. Where Haven eases that inner edge and Shaker leaves it square, Oxford cuts it long, which throws a defined shadow line around every door. On a large kitchen it gives the elevation structure without the ornament of a traditional raised panel.
The painted Oxford doors are five-piece painted HDF on a mortise-and-tenon frame; the stained versions use a solid birch mortise-and-tenon frame with a veneered MDF flat recessed center panel, and one finish uses a specialty stained door on the same build. Two finishes in the collection are framed cabinets with full-overlay doors, under-mount full-extension soft-close drawer glides and dovetail drawers with 3/4 inch thick solid wood box sides. All of them run on concealed European-style hinges with soft close. Cabinet boxes are plywood - no particleboard.
Oxford comes in seven finishes: Oxford White, Toffee, Sage, Mist and Cashmere, plus Atlanta White and Atlanta Onyx Black. Behind them sit more than 2,100 cabinet sizes - over 800 wall sizes, close to 600 base sizes, plus tall cabinets, vanities and bathroom vanities, oven and pantry cabinets, mouldings, trim and details, fillers, panels and accessories. The separate trim and detail range is worth noting: it is what lets an Oxford kitchen finish cleanly against a ceiling or an uneven wall rather than stopping short.
Transitional and traditional Atlanta homes, larger kitchens with long runs and tall banks, and projects where the cabinetry is expected to look substantial. The Sage, Mist and Cashmere finishes in particular suit houses that want color without committing to a strong one.
The Oxford door is joined before it ever reaches us — mortise and tenon rather than a mitred frame — and it arrives finished, in the carton. What is ready-to-assemble is the plywood box it hangs on. For a contractor running several units that split is useful: doors can be checked against the schedule the day they arrive, while the boxes stay flat and sealed until each site is ready for them.
