Shaker White

Shaker White is one of 21 finishes in the Shaker collection at Rest Cabinetry - the five-piece flat-panel style that suits period and modern Atlanta kitchens equally. The finish itself is a clean, bright white with no warmth underneath.

How to plan a whole kitchen around it is set out in Shaker White: a whole kitchen in one finish.

Sizes stocked in Shaker White

We hold 369 individual cabinet sizes in this finish: 114 wall cabinet sizes, 60 base cabinet sizes, 42 tall cabinet sizes, 40 wall glass-door cabinet sizes, 39 moulding and accessory sizes, 37 vanity sizes and 37 filler and panel sizes. The wall run is the deepest part of it, which is usually what decides whether a kitchen can be laid out without filler-heavy compromises.

The 40 glass-door wall sizes are listed with the glass inserts sold separately, so add the inserts to the order when you choose those cabinets.

How Shaker White is built

The doors are five-piece, with solid wood stiles around a recessed plywood centre panel, at full overlay. The box is 1/2" solid plywood; the inside is natural wood veneer with a UV coat (the supplier notes that the veneer tone can vary with material supply), and the outside matches the door finish. Drawers are 5/8" solid wood dovetail boxes with 1/2" plywood bottoms behind five-piece drawer heads, on full-extension soft-close undermount glides, and the hinges are soft-close and six-way adjustable.

Shaker White is an RTA cabinet: the box arrives flat and is assembled where the kitchen is going. Keep the cartons sealed until you build, because unopened RTA cabinets in original condition are the ones we can take back.
